Dear Sir/Madam,

The Teeing Off to Fight Cancer Golf Tournament has joined forces with the Jimmy Fund to help the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute find cures for pediatric cancers in our lifetime. Cancer is the number one disease killer of our children and grandchildren and every day 43 children are diagnosed with a form of cancer in the USA. I am writing to invite you to sponsor our inaugural event on Saturday, June

25, 2016 at the Bethlehem Country Club in Bethlehem, NH, to help us reach our goal of finding cures for our children and grandchildren.

Why am I involved? In 2011 our then 4 ½ year old granddaughter was diagnosed with Wilms tumor, a form of kidney cancer. After surgery to remove the tumor and one kidney, she underwent radiation and multiple rounds of chemotherapy over the next 7 months. After 3 months at home, her cancer came back, and then she went through even stronger chemo and a horrific stem cell transplant. She is now 3 years' free of cancer, but her doctors tell us that her chance of further relapse is better than 90% (and she will be out of treatment options at that point). If she manages to avoid relapse, her odds of developing cancer by the time she is in her 20's secondary to her extreme treatment are also about

90%. Our family is extremely motivated to support pediatric cancer research in the hopes of finding a cure and developing treatments that don't lead to secondary cancers as our children grow into adulthood.

Since 1948 Dana-Farber has been committed to one mission: giving cancer patients the best and most compassionate care today while finding cures for tomorrow. While this unique balance of research and care has seen incredible success, it is far from enough. More children are getting cancer than ever before and the cures still elude us. You can help bring us closer to our goal of curing cancer in our lifetime.

I've enclosed materials that describe our event and the various sponsorship levels offered. It is my hope that we can count on your commitment to help us attain our goal of a $20,000 donation to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute this inaugural year. We plan to make this an annual event and hopefully grow both the tournament participation and our donation to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/Jimmy Fund.

On behalf of the Teeing Off to Fight Cancer Committee, Dana-Farber, and most importantly, the thousands of patients who will benefit from our event, I want to thank you for your consideration. If you have any questions please contact me at 603-586-7734, visit our tournament website at tee2cure.wix.com/tournament or e-mail me at tee2cure@gmail.com

Sincerely,
